FFCC 3-Peat

Saturday, April 2nd... INFINITY took the floor for 2011 FFCC World Class Championships around 9:50pm. Approximately 10 minutes later, the members of INFINITY finished one of their most energetic and entertaining shows of the season, and definitely within the history of the ensemble. It was a moving experience for everyone involved this season. The membership, consisting of over 60% first-time performers of the World Class indoor marching percussion activity, performed with an emotion and energy unlike any other performance.

It was that energy and emotion which propelled the group to their 3rd straight FFCC World Class gold medal finish, with a 2.875 point spread. The members were young and fresh, lacking experience with the activity and performing, but they continued to push themselves all season to arrive at a truly World Class level.

Congratulations to the members of INFINITY 2011. The journey has been a great one, but we still have 2 weekends left. It will be exciting to see what can happen in that time, and how the 2011 season will conclude in Dayton, OH for WGI Championships.

Thank you to all apart of the FFCC organization who made this local season’s shows and championships possible, especially Chris Koss, the FFCC Percussion Board Member. Congratulations to all of the FFCC indoor programs for a successful 2011 season!

See you in Dayton!
